MDL E-Machine Engineer Giada Venturini receives Italy’s prestigious ‘Mela d’Oro’ Award for electrical engineering

We are delighted to announce that Giada Venturini, E-Machine Engineer at MDL, was a recipient of the prestigious ‘Mela d’Oro’ Marisa Bellisario Award which is reserved for Italy’s most brilliant women graduates in Aerospace, Electrical and Management Engineering. Giada, who studied electrical engineering at the University of L’Aquila, was presented the award at a ceremony attended by Italian President Sergio Mattarella in July of 2021.

Vincenzo Giovagnorio, the mayor of Giada’s home town Tagliacozzo, said, “I am really proud that our fellow citizen Giada Venturini has received the ‘Mela d’Oro’ Maria Bellisario award dedicated to the most brilliant young graduates of the year. A well-deserved recognition, conferred by a jury of the highest level and national prestige to a talented girl who, with her academic career and studies, brings prestige to the city of Tagliacozzo, to the genius and dignity of women.”

Dr Melanie Michon, Head of Engineering at Motor Design Ltd, added, “The whole company is incredibly proud to learn of Giada’s achievement and it has been a pleasure to work with her these past few years.”
